Hello, grade 1 students! Today, I’m going to introduce you to something really interesting called a computer. Have you ever heard of a computer before?

Well, a computer is an amazing machine that helps us do lots of different things. It can do things like play games, help us learn new things, and even talk to our friends and family who are far away.

A computer is made up of different parts that work together. The most important part is called the “brain” of the computer, which is called the central processing unit (CPU). It does all the thinking and makes the computer work.

Do you know what makes a computer smart?

• It remembers lots of Jobs.
• It does not make mistakes.
• It works at high speed.

Parts of Computer

Let’s talk about some of the basic parts of a computer that are easy to understand for grade 1 students. Here are a few important parts:

1. Monitor: The monitor is like a big TV screen that shows us pictures and words. It’s where we can see all the fun things on the computer.
2. Keyboard: The keyboard looks like a bunch of buttons. We use it to type words and numbers into the computer. It helps us write stories and do math problems.
3. Mouse: The mouse is a special device that helps us move a little arrow on the screen. We can use it to draw pictures or click on things we want to use or play with.
4. CPU (Central Processing Unit): This is like the brain of the computer. It does all the thinking and makes the computer work. It’s inside the computer, so we can’t see it, but it’s very important.

These are the main parts of a computer that you can start with. As you learn more, you’ll discover that there are many other parts that work together to make the computer function, but these are the ones you can easily understand for now.

A computer has two main elements: Hardware and Software.

Hardwares

Physical part of a computer, that we can touch are known as the hardware.

Softwares

Part of computer which cannot be touch physically are know as Software.
